Adding New License Key To VMware vCenter Server / VSAN

A license key which is often referred by any of these names – activation code, serial key, registration key, product key is a group of numbers and letters provided by product vendor in an attempt to prevent software piracy. Solutions such as VMware vCenter, ESXi, and VSAN require license key activation before it’s unlocked for use in your Virtualization stack.

In this article we shall share the process of creating a new license key, and assigning the key an asset – VMware vCenter Server, as well as VSAN if you’re using it in your environment.
